Three men aged between 50 and 60 died on impact when the two Toyota Land Cruiser Prado they were travelling in veered off the road in Ganglakha, 12 kilometres from Gedu towards Phuentsholing yesterday.
The accident happened around 1:30pm. According to sources, the vehicles fell about 75 metres below the road.
According to police, foggy weather is expected to be the cause of the accident of the first Prado. The vehicles were travelling together and tailgating is expected to be the cause of the accident of the second Prado.
Of the five people in the first vehicle, two women aged 24 and 22, and a five-year-old girl, are stable and under observation in Phuentsholing hospital.
A man aged between 50 and 60 died after reaching the hospital.
The driver of the second Prado, a 45-year-old man, was injured and is currently under observation at the hospital.
